Something about Mother's Day Makes me want to blog. Last year I started a blog the day after Mother's Day so I could ramble about how very blessed I am. This year the bug came early! My goal for this year is to post a couple other times throughout the year too. And it'll be great if I don't loose my blog into cyberspace this time. :)
Isn't it wonderful that we get to spend a whole day celebrating that we get to be MOMS!?!! I love being a mom. It's the only thing I've ever been kinda good at. Seriously. You know the song, Amazing Grace, where they talk about the wretch? That was me. Then I got preggo, begged God for help & life has been getting better and better ever since! Sometimes people call me crazy for having so many kids. The truth is, I was crazy without them!!!
My kiddos are awesome. They fill my life with so much JOY! They also fill it with peanut butter smeared across the counter, laundry dropped all over the house, leaky poopy diapers, TP overflowing the toilet... but mostly they fill it with joy. :)
I love it how kids get SO excited about the simple things in life. Like picking dandelions for Mommy, or winning chapstick at a baby shower. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and they're not afraid to be themselves. They're always ready for fun, give the best hugs & are so quick to forgive. My kids are a good influence on me! God uses them all the time to teach me the important things. I am so blessed!
It is my prayer, for all the Moms I know, that this Mother's Day you'll be overwhelmed by the JOY you feel just hanging out with your kiddos! Count your blessings and tell those mess-makers how much you love 'em!!!
